About Us

May 2016 saw the doors open for the first time at the TRC and from the start our business thrived with alot of old customers at our previous workplace following us to our very own business.
Stuart Frew and Hugo Ho worked together for a local company for several years and enjoyed the work they done ,Covering Annan,Dumfries and Castle Douglas they both got to know alot of their customers, The Staff they worked with was a brilliant bunch too all trained to a high standard. Sadly at the end of 2015 the business they worked for was sold on and it resulted in new staff being hired and current staff being treated like absolute dirt.
It Soon become apparent that the new owners wanted a fresh new bunch of staff and they started to pick on each member one by one, In the end Stu helped get some of the staff new jobs so they could escape these idiots, Preventing staff from refunding customers and refusing any extra help to customers was a massive no no! eventually new owners Sent stu a message one night accusing staff of theft for the sum of £1074.29!!!! Stu of course was always one step ahead when it come to banking and would always do banking Infront of the CCTV and being confident at there being no foul play on Stu's side or his staff teams side he knew something was amiss so therefore told the new owners police will be brought in the next day, Next day owners arrive police in soon after and was soon established the owners really did just want rid of higher paid staff members even if they did help to build the business to what it was, Soon after this insane incident stu decided to ask hugo if he would like to create thsi very own business which he eventually did agree too ( Hugo doing new things esp like this was a long thinking moment for him, but he did sy yes in the end up) Soon enough first shop was being viewed on the vennel couple doors down from current employer and soon after viewing it was agreed this would be the TRC.
Eventually got all the work done inside and it was then time to open the doors and as we said above the customers stood waiting on the opening of our doors for the first time and wow the response really was amazing.
fast forward 3 years and in November 2019 The Tech Repair won the
Scottish business awards which was a huge massive proud moment for both Hugo and Stu.
Soon after Covid come in talk started of lockdowns and school closures. We took 6 old laptops in Refurbished them and donated them to 6 local familys who couldnt afford a laptop. We took no money for these and just handed them over. Not long after we did face the dreaded lockdown and worry set in however the busienss survived thanks to some local taxi drivers for offering to collect devices from houses ( Safe methods used at all times ) and devices took to our shop and then repaired and sent back out so this servce actually helped not only us but also helped some local taxi drivers too.
All we want to do is help our customers as best we can, We have managed to build the trust of hundreds of customers as well as some custoemrs who use us via posting their devices to us for repairs. We are proud of what we have and proud of the service we provide.
